Driver's Ed Update- 7th grade student/parents will get an email this afternoon for sign up. Spots are limited. If the class is full, the sign up will no longer work however you may still email me to be on a waiting list. Thank you, Mr. Ruesink

We are currently enrolling students for the 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade band and choir programs for the 2023-2024 school year. Students must sign-up and commit next year with the understanding that this commitment will not change in the fall, so please have a conversation with your student before completing this form. This information is used for determining the master schedule for teachers, which is why the commitment needs to be in place. Please look for Driver's Education Sign Up this week. An email will be sent out to 9th grade parents first, then the 8th grade parents and finally 7th grade students. Emails will go out about a day or two apart for each grade. The max number of students is 40. Thank you,

Notice of School Board Election A School District Election will be held on April 11, 2023, for all voting precincts of Sioux Valley School District No. 05-5, Volga, South Dakota. If the polls cannot be opened because of bad weather, the election may be postponed one week. The election polls will be open from seven a.m. to seven p.m. central time on the day of the election. At the election, the following offices will be voted upon: One (1), three (3) year term of office for a board member residing anywhere within the district. Candidates for the vacant school board position are: Krista Benson and Alan Vande Weerd. While SVMS and SVHS will not be holding designated spring conferences, parents/guardians are encouraged to reach out to teachers regarding their student's progress at any time - even if your student is performing well. Teachers will make every effort to respond to emails and voicemails promptly - within one business day. If you prefer face-to-face meetings with your student's teachers and need assistance in coordinating these meetings, please contact our office at 627-5657.
