Mrs. Lucas knows her students well and strives to teach in a way in which her students find success. She inspires those around her to focus on the heart of teaching, keeping our sights on using what we know that works while learning how to incorporate new curriculum. Her knowledge is powerful. This Thankful Thursday shout out goes to Mr. Fast, our high school social studies teacher. Mr. Fast is an outstanding educator that builds connections with the students. Students are challenged and cared for in his classes, and he does it all with a smile and a quick laugh. Mr. Fast helps students see the connection of the content to their daily lives. A great example of this is the analysis he and his geography students do each year to predict the state championship winners each year in football, which made the news last week! Mr. Fast is also the worthy recipient of the Class 11B Assistant Football Coach of the Year award. Mr. Fast, thank you for all you do for our school!
